cSPACE already has a reputation as a hub for creativity and collaboration in Calgary. Which was why, when they were looking for fencing solutions for their new “play space” Rite-Way Fencing Calgary was only too happy to oblige.

The Project

When cSPACE King Edward were awarded funding by the Kal-Tire Replay fund, they decided to build an outdoor space for music and events. The project included fencing around the space, as well as extended posts with cables to allow for the stringing of festive outdoor lighting.

Originally, the fence was specified to have acrylic panels, but they proved to be outside of the project budget.

Fortunately, the Rite-Way Fencing Calgary yard has a high quality Spanish welded mesh panel system called Moreda Hercules. These panels are used extensively in public spaces in Europe, and their elegant, understated design and high quality made them an ideal compromise for a project where a secure barrier was required, without compromising on visibility.

The Challenges

In order to create the fencing around the play space, including the extended post design, we had to use custom base plated posts and custom fit the panels on site. Some of the fence posts had to be side plated to allow for attachment to a concrete wall.

As usual, the Rite-Way Fencing commercial fence install team on the project came through with flying colours, delivering a successful project on time and within budget.

The high quality powder coated fence is secure, corrosion resistant and understated, so that it enhances the space rather than looking out of place.
