Installing Vinyl Fence On a Slope? No Problem!

Like most fence companies, Rite-Way Fencing works with several preferred suppliers for many of the product lines we install. However, from time to time, our customers specify another manufacturer’s product. Thanks to our highly skilled installation crews, that’s not a problem, as you can see from this recently completed project.

Let’s take a look at a challenging vinyl fence project the fence pros at our Niagara branch tackled in Cambridge, Ontario, recently.

The Project

In this case, our client wanted a little over 1,600 feet of a specific type of vinyl fence installed on their site in Cambridge.

The fence was a little different from what we normally install in that it was a 6’ high, three rail tan vinyl full privacy fence. In most cases, our crews install two rail privacy fence – but of course, when you know what you’re doing with vinyl fence, you can install any slightly different fence specification.

The Challenges

As you can see from the gallery of photographs for this project, there were some fairly steep grades on this site, which required our crews to step the fence down gradually, using longer posts and other slight modifications to ensure it all looked perfect when completed.

Stepped fences are carefully calculated to ensure that even though the top of the fence line is stepped when viewed from afar, it still has an aesthetically pleasing top line. This is one of the most challenging aspects of this kind of installation, but one that our crews handled superbly on this project.

Why Full Privacy Vinyl?

Many of our clients are choosing full privacy vinyl fence for their fence projects because it’s virtually maintenance-free, hard wearing and looks great.

Quality, north American-made vinyl fence systems are also UV stabilized, so they don’t fade and crack over time, and because the fence is full privacy already, you don’t need to add privacy slats or any other privacy measures.

While this project was installed using the product specified by the customer, our standard vinyl range also includes a wide variety of colors, including some realistic-looking woodgrain products. There are also a variety of profiles available, including everything from vinyl ranch rail to vinyl picket fences.
